This year the Morrison Elementary School is offering a schoolwide Title I Program for the elementary students. The program is designed to assist students within the daily classroom schedule. All students will benefit from the added assistance. Lari Veit will be the Title I teacher assisting the homeroom teacher in the classrooms.
The Title I Program is funded by the Federal Government and enables us to provide this program for the benefit of our students.
The Morrison Title I program sets goals for improvement to measure student progress, using Oklahoma standards set forth in the Title I plan. It allows the school to develop programs that add additional instruction and assistance to students in the regular classroom. Most instruction and assistance will be in the homeroom classroom.
Morrison Elementary has provided you a copy of the Morrison Elementary Learning Compact during Enrollment night. The purpose of this document is to state the goals and responsibilities of parents, teachers, and the school.
We encourage and look forward to parental input and involvement. The goal of Title I is to provide a high quality education for every child.
Morrison Elementary Learning Compact
The Morrison Elementary School is committed to the belief that all children can learn and acknowledge that all of us---teachers, administrators, and parents---working together can make a positive difference in student achievement. The school district will provide an optimum learning environment in which students can experience success and achieve excellence in learning.
Please taking the time to discuss this compact with your child. You are sending the message to him/her that education is important.
